Mission statement

At Westcreek Public School, we strive to be a community where everyone can grow and succeed.

We are a community of students, families and staff who bring varying identities, voices, lived experiences, abilities and roles.

We are working together towards the same goal: to bring out the best in everyone through growth and development.

We are partners in one another’s success through respect, inclusiveness and collaboration.

We are a community of learning for everyone.

WE ARE WESTCREEK!

Principal’s message

At Westcreek, we are more than just a school — we are a vibrant learning community where every individual is valued, respected, and inspired to grow. Our commitment to identity, equity, and safety guides everything we do, ensuring that each student, staff member, and family feels a true sense of belonging.

We recognize that learning is not a destination but a journey. As individuals and as a community, we are always evolving — embracing new perspectives, challenging ourselves to think deeply, and celebrating the many ways we learn from one another. Reflection is woven into our daily practices, helping us honour where we’ve been and envision where we are going.

At Westcreek, we believe that when every voice is heard and every person is seen, we create the conditions for excellence, empathy, and lasting connections. Whether you are a long-time member of our community or visiting for the first time, we welcome you with open hearts and open minds.

Together, we are shaping a brighter future — one learning journey at a time.

Warmly,

Michael Ling
